How Coinmico calculates a coin's price

Los artículos de esta sección están escritos por ahora en inglés; la interfaz sí está traducida.
Every price on Coinmico comes from our own index. We keep live trade streams open to centralised exchanges and decode swap events from on-chain pools across the EVM chains and Solana.
How one price is formed
- Each venue contributes one volume-weighted average price for the current window.
- We take the median across the spot venues.
- Venues more than 2% away from that median are dropped as outliers.
- The remaining venues are weighted by the volume we observed on them.
Perpetual markets count for a quarter of a spot market's weight, because they trade at a premium or discount driven by funding.
Fallback data
For a small number of long-tail coins that no venue we stream lists yet, a third-party quote is used as a fallback. Prices for covered assets are always ours. The full rules are on the methodology page.
