Order book
The list of resting buy (bid) and sell (ask) orders on an exchange, sorted by price.
The order book is where price discovery on a centralised exchange happens: the matching engine pairs incoming orders against it. Its depth near the price determines how much can trade before the price moves. Decentralised exchanges mostly replace it with liquidity pools.
