About Coinmico
What the site is, who it is for and what it will never be.
What is Coinmico?
Coinmico is a cryptocurrency market data platform. We collect trades directly from exchange streams and on-chain pools, compute our own reference price, volume, market capitalisation, candles and rankings from them, and publish the result as coin pages, exchange pages, charts, screeners and an API.
Do I need an account?
No. Every market page, chart, exchange page, screener, heat map and converter is open without signing in. An account only adds the personal layer: a watchlist that follows you across devices, portfolio holdings, price alerts, baskets, a public profile and API keys.
Is Coinmico free?
Yes. The site and the public endpoints are free to use. Commercial redistribution of our data at volume needs an agreement, so write to us before building a paid product on top of it.
Contact usCan I buy, sell or store crypto on Coinmico?
No. We are not an exchange, a broker, a wallet or a custodian. We never hold funds, never take deposits and never ask for a private key, a seed phrase or a wallet signature. Any message claiming otherwise in our name is a scam.
Is anything on the site investment advice?
No. Everything we publish is market data for research. We do not recommend assets, do not manage money and do not promise that any figure is suitable for a trading decision.
DisclaimerWhich currencies and languages are supported?
Prices can be displayed in forty national currencies, converted from our USD reference price with foreign exchange rates we refresh continuously. The interface is currently English only.
Data and accuracy
Where the numbers come from and what to do when one looks wrong.
Where do Coinmico prices come from?
From the venues themselves. We keep live trade streams open to around thirty centralised exchanges and decode swap events from on-chain pools across roughly twenty EVM chains and Solana. Those trades — not a figure copied from another aggregator — are what our index is built from.
Read the methodologyHow is the reference price for a coin calculated?
Each venue contributes one volume-weighted average price for the current window. We take the median across the spot venues, drop venues more than 2% away from it as outliers, and weight what remains by the volume we observed. Perpetual markets carry a quarter of a spot market's weight because they trade at a funding-driven premium or discount.
Reference priceWhy does your price differ slightly from an exchange or another site?
Because a single exchange shows its own last trade, while our figure is a cross-venue aggregate over a short window. Small differences are normal; large ones usually mean the venue you are comparing against is thin, is a perpetual market, or was filtered out as an outlier.
How often is the data updated?
Trades arrive continuously and the index settles every few seconds, so coin pages, tickers and charts move in near real time. Slower figures — supply, holders, metadata — refresh on their own schedules, measured in minutes to hours.
Do you use third-party data at all?
Yes, and we say where. Descriptive metadata, some supply figures, long-tail quotes for assets no venue we stream lists, and holder counts come from external sources, with an aggregator kept only as an emergency fallback when our own pipeline has nothing for an asset. Prices, volume, capitalisation, candles and rankings for covered assets are ours.
Data sourcesA number looks wrong. How do I report it?
Email support with the page URL, the figure you saw, what you expected, and a timestamp with its timezone. Data corrections are the fastest thing we fix, because a wrong supply or a manipulated venue affects every ranking that asset appears in.
Report a correctionWhy is a field on a coin page empty?
Because we could not measure it. A window our history does not cover, a supply a contract cannot answer, or a metric with no reliable source is left blank on purpose instead of being filled with an estimate that would read like a measurement.
Prices, market cap and volume
How the headline figures on every coin page are derived.
How is market capitalisation calculated?
Circulating supply multiplied by our reference price. Where a supply figure is missing or clearly wrong we leave the capitalisation empty rather than publish a number that would distort the ranking.
What is fully diluted valuation (FDV)?
Total or maximum supply multiplied by the same price — what the asset would be worth if every token that can exist were in circulation today. It is shown next to market cap because a large gap between the two usually means future unlocks.
How do you decide what counts as circulating supply?
We read total supply on-chain where the asset is a token, subtract balances that are provably out of circulation such as burn addresses, and curate known locked allocations. Anything we cannot verify stays out of the deduction rather than being guessed.
SupplyIs your 24h volume the same as the exchanges' reported volume?
No. We publish the traded value we observed on the venues we stream, aggregated per asset. A venue's own reported volume is never displayed as ours, which is why our figure can be lower than a site that republishes exchange self-reporting.
How are gainers, losers and rankings ordered?
Rankings are ordered by market capitalisation, recomputed as prices move. Gainers and losers are ordered by the percentage move over the window you select, with thresholds on capitalisation and volume so a coin with almost no liquidity cannot top the list on a single trade.
Gainers and losersHow is Trending decided?
By a score, not by clicks. It blends turnover — volume relative to market cap — with the 24-hour and 7-day price moves, and only considers assets above a capitalisation floor with real volume, so it surfaces unusual activity instead of whatever we happen to promote.
TrendingWhere does the Fear & Greed reading come from?
We compute it ourselves from our own history of the largest assets: momentum against a long baseline, volatility, the breadth of coins rising, turnover, bitcoin dominance and altcoin momentum, combined into a single 0–100 score.
How it is computedCharts and tools
Candles, intervals, indicators and the calculators.
Which intervals and chart types are available?
Line and candlestick charts from 1 minute up to 1 week: 1m, 5m, 15m, 1H, 4H, 1D and 1W. Short intervals are built from our per-minute index, longer ones from our hourly and daily history, with drawing, indicators and a crosshair on the candle view.
How far back does chart history go?
Minute-level candles cover the recent window, while hourly history stretches back roughly two years and grows as we keep collecting. Where an asset started being indexed later, the chart simply begins there instead of back-filling an invented series.
Candles and retentionAre the candles the same as an exchange's candles?
No, and that is deliberate. Ours are cut from the cross-venue index, so a wick that exists only on one thin exchange does not appear, and a gap on one venue does not leave a hole in the chart.
What else can I use besides charts?
A screener with filters on price, capitalisation, volume and moves; a heat map and a bubble board for the whole market at a glance; a converter across coins and national currencies; and a profit calculator for a hypothetical entry and exit.
Open the screenerExchanges and DEXs
How venues are ranked and what their pages show.
How are exchanges ranked?
By the volume we measured on them over the window, computed from the same trade streams that feed the index — not by their own reported totals, and not by any commercial relationship.
Exchange rankingsWhat is on an exchange or DEX page?
The venue's identity and rank, the volume we observed with a chart of its recent trend, and the market or pool table with per-pair price, volume and share. DEX pages add the chains the protocol trades on and the pools we index.
Can an exchange pay to be listed or ranked higher?
No. Coverage follows liquidity and data quality: we add venues we can stream reliably and remove or downweight venues whose tape we cannot trust. Ranking is arithmetic, and no payment changes it.
Why is an exchange I use missing?
Either we do not have a reliable stream for it yet, or its data failed our integrity checks. Tell us which venue you need and we will look at adding it.
Suggest a venueAccount, watchlist and portfolio
The personal layer, and what happens to it if you leave.
How do I create an account?
With an email address and a password, or with Google in one click. Signing in with Google links to an existing account that uses the same email rather than creating a duplicate.
Create an accountDoes the watchlist work without an account?
Yes. Without signing in it is stored in your browser, so it stays on that device and is lost if you clear site data. Signing in moves it to your account and syncs it everywhere.
Open your watchlistHow does the portfolio work?
You record your own holdings and we value them against our reference price, showing cost basis, profit and loss and allocation. It is manual bookkeeping: we never connect to an exchange account, read a wallet or execute anything.
Open the portfolioHow are alerts delivered?
Alerts are checked against our own index and collected in your alert inbox on the site, where you can set a price level or a 24-hour percentage move and choose whether an alert repeats or fires once.
Set up alertsWhat are baskets and profiles?
A basket is a named group of coins you can track as one line and share. A profile is your public page — the baskets and calls you chose to publish — which other people can follow.
Can I delete my account and my data?
Yes. Deleting the account from your account settings removes your watchlist, portfolio, alerts, baskets and API keys. You can also ask us to do it, and we will confirm when it is done.
Account settingsAPI, widgets and embeds
Programmatic access and putting our data on your own site.
Is there an API?
Yes. A personal key unlocks the public read endpoint, which serves the same index the site reads, with an hourly quota of 600 calls and up to 250 coins per request. Keys are created and revoked in your account.
Create an API keyHow do I send my key?
As a bearer token in the Authorization header. Requests over the quota answer 429 with the limit stated, and every public endpoint is rate limited per caller, so back off when you see a Retry-After header instead of retrying immediately.
Can I embed Coinmico data on my site?
Yes. The widget builder generates an embeddable ticker, single-price card, coin list or bubble board, themed light or dark, that you paste as an iframe.
Build a widgetDo I have to credit Coinmico?
Yes. When you publish our prices, charts or rankings, name Coinmico as the source and link back to the page the figure came from. Logos and the rules for using our name are in the brand kit.
Brand kitCan I scrape the site instead?
Please do not. Scraping is rate limited and blocked, and it gives you a fragile copy of a page. Use a key and the endpoint, and tell us if the quota is too small for what you are building.
Listings and coverage
Getting an asset indexed, and why coverage has limits.
How do I get a coin listed?
Submit it through the listing form with its contract address, chain and the venues where it trades. That is faster than an email because the form collects exactly what we need to start indexing.
Submit a coinWhat are the listing criteria?
We need data we can verify: a real market on a venue we can stream or a pool we can decode, a contract we can read, and enough liquidity for a price to mean something. Assets that only trade on a venue whose tape we cannot trust are not indexed.
Can I pay to be listed or to change a figure?
No. Listings are not for sale, and no payment changes a price, a volume, a ranking or a score. Factual corrections are always free.
How long does a listing take?
Once a submission passes review, indexing usually starts within days and the coin page fills in as history accumulates. Charts start from the moment we begin collecting, not before.
Privacy and security
What we hold about you and how to reach the security team.
What data do you collect about me?
Only what the product needs: your email and password hash if you register, the lists and holdings you create, and basic technical logs. There is no advertising network profiling you across the site.
Privacy policyDo you sell my data?
No. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share your portfolio or watchlist with anyone.
How do I report a vulnerability?
Email [email protected] with the details and give us time to fix it before publishing. We acknowledge reports within two business days.
Security contactHow do I spot a fake Coinmico?
We only write from coinmico.com addresses, never ask for a password, a seed phrase or a wallet signature, and never run token giveaways or airdrops. Anything else using our name is impersonation — report it and we will act on it.
Using our data and legal
Reuse, liability and the documents that govern the site.
Can I republish your figures in an article or a report?
Yes, with attribution to Coinmico and a link to the page the figure came from. Redistribution as a data feed or inside a paid product needs our written agreement first.
Are you liable if a figure is wrong?
Data is provided as is, without warranty, and we are not liable for decisions made from it. We do fix errors quickly when they are reported, and we would rather leave a field blank than publish a number we cannot stand behind.
Terms of serviceDo advertising or affiliate links affect the data?
No. Paid placements are labelled as advertising or sponsored, and a commission never changes a price, a market cap, a venue score, a trending slot or whether an asset is covered. Those follow the published methodology only.
DisclaimerWhere can I read the rules in full?
The Terms of service cover use of the site, the API and user content; the Disclaimer covers advice, risk and commercial placements; the Privacy policy covers personal data; the Methodology documents how every figure is produced.
MethodologyStill stuck?
Write to [email protected] for anything about the site or the data, or [email protected] for partnerships, API volume and press. Include the page URL and a timestamp and the first reply usually settles it.
