What Moved

A heavy day for the market: $66.7B of capitalisation left the market as the total fell 2.3% to $2.85T.

BTC ended the day at $81,577 (-2.3%), moving with the market rather than against it; its share of total capitalisation is 57.4%. Ethereum lost 3.7% to $2,421.

Breadth was weak: 1868 assets fell against 486 that rose, and only 21.0% of the hundred largest managed a gain.

Bitway (BTW) was the day's strongest mover at +9.6%, ahead of PRL (+5.3%). At the other end, KuCoin (KCS) fell 8.5%, with LIT (-8.5%) close behind. Every tracked sector closed lower, Privacy most of all at -5.4%.

Volume and Leverage

Trading volume was ordinary at $66.0B, +13.4% against the previous day. Spot on centralised exchanges accounted for $65.1B, on-chain swaps $2.41B and derivatives $95.9B.

Liquidations were contained at $190M, most of it longs ($133M against $57.7M of shorts). Open interest across the venues we track is $63.2B.

Sentiment

The Coinmico Fear & Greed index sits at 44, in fear, up 3 points from yesterday and 37 a week ago.

Sectors

Rotation was visible at the sector level. RWA finished -1.3% while Privacy closed -5.4%, a spread of 4.0 points across the 10 sectors we track; all 10 of them fell, with the middle of the pack (Storage & Compute) at -3.4%. RWA holding up while the market fell is the kind of relative strength worth noting if the selling continues.

What to Watch

The first question for the next session is whether the selling was a repricing or a flush. Liquidations stayed modest, so the move was driven more by spot selling than by forced unwinds, and that usually takes longer to reverse.

1868 of 2354 assets with a measurable move closed lower. Selling that wide is a de-risking of the whole asset class, not a rotation out of specific names, and it typically needs a bitcoin bounce to stop.

All figures are measured on Coinmico's own index across 58 exchanges and 38 decentralised venues at 00:54 UTC. Tomorrow's recap will show whether today's reading held.
