Supply updates

Market cap depends on circulating supply, so a wrong supply affects every ranking the coin appears in.

Where supply comes from

• On-chain first. For tokens we read total supply from the contract and subtract balances that are provably out of circulation, such as burn addresses.
• Known locked allocations are deducted only when they can be verified.
• Reported figures from a project or a third-party source are used as a fallback and labelled as such.

Reporting a wrong supply

Submit a request with the coin, the figure shown, the correct figure, and a link that proves it: an explorer page, a burn transaction, or the project's supply API.

Tip: if the project publishes a supply endpoint, include its URL. We can read it on a schedule instead of waiting for another manual update.
