Bridge
A protocol that moves an asset's value from one blockchain to another, usually by locking it on the source chain and minting a representation on the destination.
Bridges are how ETH ends up on Arbitrum or USDC on Solana. The bridged token is a claim on assets held by the bridge, so it carries the bridge's risk on top of the asset's — bridge contracts have suffered some of the largest hacks in crypto. Coinmico treats bridged and wrapped representations as distinct markets that price the same underlying asset.
