Wrapped asset
A token on one chain representing an asset from another, held in custody or a bridge contract — WBTC on Ethereum represents bitcoin.
A wrapped asset carries the custodian's or bridge's risk on top of the underlying's. Coinmico prices wrapped representations as markets for the underlying asset and excludes them from the altcoin season index so they do not count twice.
