Honeypot
A malicious token contract that lets buyers buy but prevents them from selling.
A honeypot typically hides a transfer restriction or a sell tax the owner can raise to 99%. The chart rises because nobody can sell; the deployer, whose address is exempt, exits when enough buyers are trapped. Contract scanners detect most honeypot patterns in seconds, and a verified contract with renounced ownership and no adjustable tax removes the mechanism.
