Liquidity pool
A smart-contract reserve of two tokens against which traders swap, with the price set by the ratio of the reserves.
Pools are the building blocks of decentralised exchanges. Providers deposit both tokens and earn a share of swap fees; traders pay a price that moves with their trade's size relative to the pool. A pool's dollar liquidity — not the token's market cap — determines how much can be traded through it.
