Mark price
A smoothed reference price, built from a spot index plus the perpetual's average premium, used to value positions and trigger liquidations.
Marking against an index rather than the perpetual's own last trade means a single large order on one venue cannot liquidate positions by itself. Traders are liquidated on the mark price, not the price on their chart.
