Short squeeze
A sharp rise driven by short positions being forced to buy back, either voluntarily or through liquidation.
Rising price with falling open interest and negative funding turning positive is the signature: shorts are closing, not new buyers arriving. Squeezes are violent and self-limiting — the move ends when the shorts are gone.
