Locking a proof-of-stake chain's coin to help validate the network in exchange for a share of issuance and fees.
Staked coins are typically locked for a period and can be slashed for validator misbehaviour. Liquid staking tokens represent staked positions and trade freely, letting the coin be staked and used at once.
