Altcoin season
A period in which most altcoins outperform bitcoin; on Coinmico, measured as the share of the top 100 that beat bitcoin over 90 days.
Coinmico's altcoin season index counts how many of the top 100 assets by market cap, excluding stablecoins and wrapped assets, have outperformed bitcoin over the trailing 90 days. Readings of 75 and above are labelled altcoin season, 25 and below bitcoin season, and the range between is neutral. It is measured from Coinmico's own price index, not from a third party.
